Camping Experience with Journeys Of Faith Cavite Tribe

It wasn't our first time going on a camping cause we usually does, but it is our first time joining in a camping with Cavite Tribe. It was indeed an enjoyable time.

We are not that prepared, as we're just able to convince mom and dad 2 days before the date itself. Mom told us there are a lot of things going on at her work and dad's that needs undivided focus. We know aside from dad driving,  most of the things to prepare, to set up done by mom. We committed to help by all means since we wanted it too.

Fortunately, mom said she has a leeway to delay work stuff and we can go.

It was a very best, quick decision.

My Paper Mache Hat

In out ArtEx activity we are thought about creating a hat made out of paper mache. Since my younger sister loves to draw so we've got lots of papers to use 😉.
Here's what I've got. Excuse the work station at the back.
The top part I painted it blue and the bottom I painted it gold and purple.
See the inside 😅. All used paper by my younger sis.

Sales Apprentice

It's Valentine's day the next day and we want to sell my Ate's crafty passion project. We went to a nearby public highschool in the area, set up our camping tables and chairs and display Ate's craft.
Can't think of my own passion project but mom says it maybe affiliate marketing where she said I am good at. I wanted to sell products but I don't want to make anything by me. Just sell that is already available and I will add some amount in the product itself. Which by the way I did on Ate's crochet h

A Visit in Malacanang Palace

It was a great experience seeing history and knowing stories in a very historic place. This is one of the experiences I wanted to keep on doing more.

Eat, Play and Learn

After mass yesterday , we drop by at a nearby mall for snacks. Luckily I saw some mall activity and I ask mom if I can join.  They said it's a free painting experience for little ones. Why not join?

Went home with additional art materials. Thank you WaltterMart.

Day 2 With the New Chores

I am thinking twice if we will continue as this slowing me down on other more important tasks I have to complete. Yet I realize she will never make it fast if we stop and with no consistency. Patience. Like I had with the first two, more patience and trust the process. It is for her learning too.

After breakfast chores she did the writing activity (Scriptures) and English Literature, Reading and History ( Queen Elizabeth) And Arts ( Flag drawing), Values (Laying Down The Rails - Obedience - Naughty Nelly and her New Parasol. Mathew 4:1-11 .

Love how we do it simultaneously. Connected and no pressure.

Starting on Glasses and Mugs

Khly is turning 7 this year. As promised as she always ask she will take over the dishes for the breakfast schedule. Her Ate and Kuya are the one's who alternately doing the breakfast. Then Kuya schedule is fix for lunch and Ate for dinner. She wanted to join and be fixed on breakfast. She started this March!

My First Kite Flying Experience

It's Khly's late grandpa, my dad's birthday. Every year mom still celebrate and cook for his birthday then we are visiting his tomb.

Alongside we had a a picnic and play in the cemetery.

Perks of having a childhood that was born in 80's and grew up in 90's. We want to instill and introduce to the kids those little games that we used to play when we were younger.

I am so proud of her at few tries she was able to fly a kite and navigate it. I witness her struggles but she said it was fun and her eyes shows it

Perks of having all the time with them. We've got to enjoy every minute of it.

Her 2025 Goal

They are asked to create a jar and write their year's goal.
Khly created her own and cut it her own. I was there to supervise and guide her.

Her goal this year:
1. Eat more veggies
2. Grow taller.
3. Play more football

The veggies and grow taller has one target as she says, to be able to ride theme park rides. Silly but make sense 😅

Common and Socially Acceptable Expressions

Though we are mostly on Charlotte Mason Curriculum, sometimes if she wants to study in front of the computer then we use Deped- curriculum.

I can say using the Charlotte Mason method pretty advance her though we don not put labels on our subjects just more on actual, reading and home task and application in the real set up.

Conversation example

P.S Excuse the mom's grammar flaws ;)

Dreamland Learn Basic Math

Khly got bored with Arithmetic by Horace Grant. She started working on the colorful book she found on the shelves supposedly this was for his brother but he overaged then the activities so he didn't use it at all.

Movie Review Narration

Every Sunday night is a movie night.

Aside from enjoying the movie itself, we wanted to spot check how well thay understood what they watched.

This perfectly works for the comprehension and retention practice.

Reading Exercises

Everyday She has to read a book that interests her.

She most likely to read Christmas story book.
